Mick Parkin is still flying high after his successful UFC debut Earlier this year.
The Sunderland striker has arrived mixed martial arts Big time last August in season six of Dana WhiteContenders series.

Parkin, 28, fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a UFC fighter thanks to a first-round victory over Eduardo Jose Nieves.
However, he will have to wait a while before he makes his debut in the octagon, which he came in Enough London preliminary in July.
But it was worth the wait, if only for the atmosphere he experienced in the raucous O2 Arena crowd before beating American Jamaal Boggess by unanimous decision.
He told SunSport: “It was amazing. Making my debut in London as well, it was perfect.
“And my friend Tom [Aspinall] He was headlining the card too, he was perfect. So I got to spend time with him for a week.
“My friends who fought before would say: Enjoy it and take it all in.
“It’s going to be a really cool story when you grow up and you don’t want to let it go unnoticed.”

“Even just Bruce Buffer saying my name was crazy. And then to get in the fight and get the win was perfect.

Fighting in MMAParkin’s highest promotion, in front of his friends, family and fans in the UK who wanted him to move up the ranks, was a surreal moment for Parkin, who used to be a part-time bouncer before he started jumping in the octagon.
“When I decided I wanted to fight properly, I did that one-night stand just to get in,” he recalls money To pay for my training.
“I wasn’t really bothered about it because I don’t go out drinking on the weekends.
“It really worked in Nice – good The bar wasn’t really annoying, it was basically just money To do nothing. “It was perfect for me.”
He added: “I do security work on weekends so I can get by while training full time.
“I did it Friday night and Saturday night. I’m not like some of these guys who work a full-time job and train. It’s hard.”

Despite being officially signed by UFC CEO White over a year ago, Barkin still finds it surreal. MMAThe big show.
“Just looking around and thinking you’re in the UFC, that’s crazy,” he said.
“I try not to get overwhelmed and think, ‘Oh, you’re in the UFC.’

Parkin will make his second walk to the Octagon early tomorrow morning in the prelims for UFC Vegas 82, where he will face fellow Contender Series contract winner Caio Machado.
“He’s definitely good,” he said of the Brazilian. “He’s a heavyweight, so anything can happen when he throws to the big guys.
“You don’t want to get hit by anyone at that weight. I think he’s very aggressive with his striking.

“But I think his style matches mine well and it’s good for me. I think it’s a really good match for me.”
“It’s definitely dangerous and I have to be alert because no fight is taken for granted.
“I feel confident in this and it will be great for me.
Barkin is hoping 2024 will be so busy that he will overlook a spot in the UFC spring Show up in London to stay active.
He said: “They always seem to come to the UK in March or June, so that would be ideal.
“I would probably fight a little early if I came out of this fight without injuries.
“But if I were asked to fight in February in America or March in London, I think I would rather wait for the London card just to fight at home.
“But if the UFC says, ‘You can fight in February,’ I can do it too.”
